Cutting Tool Inspection Equipment Systems Model 560 Mini Video Tool Analyzer Permits rapid, precision inspection of all tool geometry characteristics in the grind and regrind department. 560 PA Video Tool Analyzer

A customer asked us to design and build a Video Tool Analyzer that they would be able to set into their Star Tool and Cutter Grinder so as to be able to inspect parts in the machine. With their existing method, they would need to remove the part, inspect it off line, then based on their measurements, make the necessary adjustments to the grinder and run another part. This was very time consuming and costly as the removed parts could not be reinstalled into the machine, they were scrap. So we designed and built the 560 PA (Portable Analyzer) Tool Analyzer for them. They are now able to inspect the part while it is in the grinder. They can make the necessary machine adjustments and they do not have to scrap the part. We were able to use the Star Tool And Cutter Grinders on board computer and operator pendant for our inspection software and part viewing. When the inspection of the part is complete, the 560 PA can be removed from the Star Tool and Cutter Grinder. Installation of the 560 PA is quick and easy when it is necessary to inspect another part.
