The Winslow Engineering Model 560 IPI(In-Process-Inspection), provides the capability of monitoring or inspecting a part during the grinding process. The optics and X-Y-Z axes are encased in a sealed box to keep grinding grit from entering. The X-Y-Z axes are servo controlled with an external joystick for axis movement. The part can be viewed and inspected via a side mounted computer monitor. In the example in the picture, the 560 IPI is mounted on the end of the table on a surface grinder.
